iSchools Team launch PC Recycling @ CLSU

The CLSU iSchools Team will launch its first PC Recycling Training Series intended to train teachers of Public High Schools in Nueva Ecija. Twenty three Public High Schools with a total of 72 trainees will be attending the three segment 10 days training which will commence April 13, 2010.

The trainees will be taught how to troubleshoot computers and diagnose common PC problems. Aside from that they will be trained how to respect the environment thru PC Recycling and eWaste Management.

This endeavor by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology with Central Luzon State University as its implementing partner is geared toward bridging the gap brought about by the scarce ICT Resource given to the Public Education System.

It is the objective of the project to show that PC Maintenance is one key factor in prolonging the life span of these delicate machines of the future.

eWaste Management is also intended to create instructional materials from computer parts that are no longer serviceable. Thru the creativity of our teachers, this may still be of use to our students, before they are finally considered scrap.
