The CLSU iSchools Team travels to Aurora province today to complete the CILC trainings for Dipaculao National High School and Aurora State College of Technology.
The team is composed of Engr. Theody B. Sayco, Mr. Joey Fernando, Mr. Tristan Ray Manzano, and three other staff of the project.
They will be in the area from November 28 to November 30 and will be back on the second phase of the training on Dec 4.
A total of 14 iSchools Project recipient Public High Schools (PHS) were visited by the CLSU ICT Team headed by Engr. Theody B. Sayco last May 24 to 27, 2009.
The purpose of the visit is to inspect and ascertain the Internet Connectivity Status of the said PHSs as the project is nearing its completion.
Seven (7) out of 14 schools visited are already connected to the Internet while 3 schools still await ISP presence in the area. The rest are just waiting for their connection to be activated.
Configuration of the Computer Labs were also performed by the Team. Internet Connection Speedtest was conducted on connected schools to see if the bandwidth delivered is as stated in the contract with the ISP.
Two schools were not visited due to bad weather and road condition.
This is the second visit of the CLSU ICT Team in the area, the first was early January 2009.
CLSU is assigned 45 schools with respect to Internet Connection.
The Coordinator is currently the Director of the Information Systems Institute and Chairperson, IT Department and leads the CICT-CLSU iSchools and eSkwela Project Team
